WORLD LEADER PRETEND!
February 16th, 2008

Thanks to a camera malfunction, we did't have any photos to share of the Pope, Ghandi, the Dalhi Lama, and Jesus Christ singing "Why Can't We Be Friends", or any good pics of the two Fidel Castros drinking beer together just days before stepping down as leader of Cuba, or of the three Abraham Lincolns fighting over the one Mary Todd Lincoln... or any of the other great costumes and great moments... until Ghandi stepped in and shared her photos!

FOUR BARS & SEVEN BEERS AGO...
February 12th, 2008

In honor of Abraham Lincoln's birthday, a dedicated crew took to the streets and bars of Capitol Hill for a bar crawl featuring stove pipe hats, beards, bow ties and pennies.

SANTARCHY 2007!
December 15th, 2007

Although we here at GMP headquarters couldn't make it due to a family emergency, all the photos and stories testify that it was once again a blast. If you missed it too, live vicariously through our pal Damien's photos here

Pirates of the Caribeacon!

Science-Fiction Double-Feature!
March 31st, 2007

From every corner of the galaxy and even from our own future, Guerrillas flocked to the Ballard Denny's Bar and the BalMar in silvery, spacey and futuristic costumes - and a few Rocky Horror costumes, as well.

Animal Farm!
February 3rd, 2007

All creatures great and small spent their Saturday night at... where else?... the Zoo! The Eastlake Zoo Tavern, to be precise. From a cockroach and jellyfish to a gorilla and some farmers... the entire Kingdom Animalia seemed represented. Even dinosaurs, unicorns, and a liger made appearances! And plenty of traditional farm animals, too - turkeys, rabbits, cows, pigs, and lambs. And pin the tail on the donkey and a rollerskating flamingo and two Bjork's in Swan dresses and Animal from the Muppet Show and Fractal Squirrel and... so many amazing costumes, it's impossible to do justice to them all.

Happy Birthday to Who?
October 7th, 2006

Over 100 Guerrillas showed up at the Rosebud to celebrate the birthday of one lucky Guest of Honor. At 11:20ish, we learned who that Guest of Honor was - Cole, a great guy from Reno. We couldn't have asked for a better birthday boy. Amidst receiving countless cards, gifts, cupcakes, cake, birthday spankings, clown stripteases and kisses, he gave delightful speeches. Check out photos of the night at the links below.

Friends, Romans, Countrymen!
July 22nd, 2006

Gladiators, Vikings, Ancient Greek Diplomats, and Egyptian queens stormed the streets of France at Cafe Metropolitain. Check out our photos below, or take a look at photographer Dave Matthews' great shots of the event here.

Lighten Up!
May 20th, 2006

Dozens of Guerrillas, new and old, brought out their best illuminated selves for the brightest, arguably most beautiful GMP yet. We lit up the new Hipster Hole in the wall, Redwood, then hit the dance floor of Jai Thai - spreading glow bracelets and glasses and necklaces wherever we went. Sadly, most of our pictures were over or under-lit, and didn't quite capture how gorgeous everyone looked. Thankfully, photographer Dave Matthews was on the scene to snap amazing photos of all the lightened up Guerrillas and friends.

GMP PDX #1 - Sinners & Saints
April 15th, 2006

The first ever GMP Portland was a resounding success, with Sinners and Saints of all varieties surprising the Low Brow Lounge (in the Pearl District). A posse of GMP Seattle regulars made the drive down, joining Adam & Eve, Monica Lewinsky, Patrick Bateman, Joan of Arc, and so many others for the fun.

TROPICARAOKE!
March 25th, 2006

GMP Seattle's first foray into total immersion was a blast. Guerrillas from all over showed up not only in amazing costumes (from sea monsters and mermaids to palm trees and, of course, vacationers), but they also brought decorations to transform Kozak's Bar & Grill into a tropical paradise. Palm trees, monkeys, flower garlands, beautiful flowered fabrics, bugs, and plenty of leis to go around turned Kozak's into the Tropical vacation we all needed after a week of hail storms. Despite some technical difficulties, we Guerrillas tore up the Karaoke stage, too. And we can't forget one major highlight of the evening -- the volcano hat ACTUALLY exploding! Definitely a great party.

OUTLAWED!
January 28th, 2006

Outlaws of all sorts arrived at the George & Dragon Pub in Fremont, mixing with the law abiding crowd. Members of the oldest profession mingled with cowboys; Bonnie & Clyde held up Eco-Terrorists; Potheads and Pirates, Peeping Toms and Priests all made appearances; And two Robin Hoods battled for who could steal the most from the rich to give to the poor; All the while, Dirty Bunny violated Seattle's new '4-foot rule' for strippers, boldly shaking his pasties and receiving tips in his g-string.

SANTARCHY '05!

GMP, Period: A Costume Time Warp
August 6th, 2005

Descending first on the Pike Pub & Brewery, then on the Nite Lite, Time Travelers arrived from as far in the past as prehistoric times (Fred Flintstone) and as recent as the 'Grunge' era (Kurt & Courtney) -- with every period in between representing. And, as hoped, one brave soul took the 'Period' pun to it's logically conclusion, arriving in a giant Tampon costume. Pure genius.

To celebrate 'We the People', GMP joined up with folks from Male Bonding Experiment, Seattle Cacophonists, and several others to party in public on Election Night 2004. Thanks to cold, rainy weather and a close Presidential race, the turnout was small -- but we still had fun. Local band The Mechanical Dolls set up their drums, guitars, and bass and rocked loud enough to set off car alarms, while people danced, drank, ate, and talked politics.
