The Inspiration of Deviancy

Although we're the first Guerrilla Masquerade Party out there, we owe the concept to a lot of inspirational groups and people. From the Club Kids of the early 90's who DIDN'T chop up their drug dealers (and those who did, I suppose), to local drag sensations like Sylvia O'Stayformore, we've been continually inspired to throw on something more interesting than jeans and a t-shirt when we go out. Guerrilla Queer Bar (originally an SF sensation, but now worldwide) gave us the impetus to take our costume parties out of our houses and into the streets, while Burning Man showed us that there are LOTS of other creative people in the world looking for opportunities to express themselves. And we can't forget that without The Swedish Housewife's encouragement, and It's Mark Mitchell's inspirational fashion philosophies, we might never have left the house looking like we do.

Check out the sites of some of the folks who share our militant, random approach to having fun.
