April showers might bring May Flowers, but March is just plain cold and wet. We here at GMP headquarters think it's time we did something about that. We Guerrillas deserve a little vacation, a little sunshine, and a lot of fun. We deserve:

TROPICARAOKE!

On Saturday, March 25th at 10pm, join us for a night of Tropical escape and Karaoke madness. We'll turn some unsuspecting locations into Tropical beaches, lush rainforests, and undersea wonderlands. Instead of their usual plain walls and beer promotion posters, we'll fill their spaces with vines and flowers, colorful parrots and fish, coconut bras and grass skirts. And of course, we'll be sipping Mai Tais and Chi Chis and Margaritas!

For this party, think big. Let's turn ourselves AND the bar into the tropics! A little sunburned perhaps? Maybe the victim of a poison dart frog attack? Ever dream of being lost on a deserted island like the cast of LOST or SURVIVOR, or that wacky Swiss Family Robinson? This is your chance! Bring along vines and flowers to wrap up the bar and decorate the tables... Bring some bamboo for a limbo contest... Heck, bring a palm tree if you've got one! Let's go for total immersion! We've earned a night in paradise, so let's make it happen!

And hopefully the warmth of the sun and the refreshing salt water of the sea will get your vocal chords ready, Guerrillas, cuz we're gonna be singing the night away. Always wanted to belt out "Copacabana" or "Kokomo"? This will be the perfect opportunity!

This month, we'll be invading the hottest, newest, funnest karaoke spot on 15th Ave East - Kozak's Bar & Grill. Dirty Bunny and friends have fallen in love with this Polish place, and have been covertly ordering Mai Tais for months to prepare the staff without revealing too much. Kozak's is located at 332 15th Avenue East, at Thomas Ave, between the Starbucks and the Bagel Deli. You may remember it as the old Maguire's Irish Pub.

So get yourselves to the tanning salon, dig those Hawaiian shirts, bikinis and leis out of the closet, and get ready for TROPICARAOKE!

Need a little help finding those perfect tropical accessories? Check out the great stuff at our favorite local costume and party supply shops:

The Hawaii General Store on 45th in Wallingford is the perfect place to shop for all things Hawaii, including grass skirts, hawaiian shirts, and even fresh orchid leis flown in from the islands. Display & Costume Supply has a great Tropical Party page, Champion Party Supply has a section dedicated to Aloha Theme parties and Archie McPhee has a great selection of Hula and Tiki items
